Lol
LOL (Lady of (tha) Lake) build.
My bro and I have just thought up and tested a new build we call the LOL build. My bro has always been all HB believe in constant, steady heals for the team, and I have leaned more torward elites that give BIG spikes of health to individuals. As such, when we monk he usually takes HB and team healing skills for general healing, and I usually take glimmer/WoH and spike healing skills to heal up spike damage. I cannot keep a team alive, and he cannot keep someone taking spike damage alive, but together we do pretty well.
That is what made me think of the build. The basic concept is this. One monk goes heavier than normal in team heals and takes HB. The other take seed skills and HP, but mostly spike skills (including an elite like WoH or glimmer). The team healer goes with an ele 2nd and uses glyph so he can last for a long time, and (here is what makes the build) the spike healer brings arcane mimicry and upgrades 14 in divine favor. The spike healer can then steal HB and have it on nearly all the time (the 15 second window that he cannot did not hurt the team in any of our tests) and apply it to his elite spike healing skills. The first test we did was getting a noob team of r3 and below ursans who did not know the norn point run and monking it for them. To make it harder 4 of them were eles and took damage like nothing. More than once one of them ran in alone and took on about 20 level 26 baddies. His health would drop down all but a quarter in a second or two. Normally an HB monk would never be able to keep him alive, but with HB and WoH I was able to heal him for 300+ with the first heal, and enough major heals after that to keep him alive.
We then went down to the snowman lair and sent a hero war into the fray. He started taking the most unGodly spike damage, but again we were able to keep him alive. Long story short (at least in all of our tests): it rocks! If you use mimicry just before an engangment your energy recharges before you even go in there. Energy has not yet been anymore of a problem for the spiker than the HB. With seed skills and HP the spike healer can do enough team healing to make the duo just as good at it as two normal HBs.
Bro and I are now gonna go try it out with Aura of Faith and HB and see if we cannot come up with a similar excellent build.
I will be back after we test it to tell ya'll the results.

So.. to sum this up, its all about arcane mimicry+HB? Nothing new, tbh. People have been using this combo for a long time, e.g. for UW runs when SB uses mimicry on the HB to be cool =)
Also, HB + patient, dwaynas kiss or orison pwns. I found these more than enough for most of the areas.

Monks have always been using this type of combo in places like Urgoz and other elite areas. Nothing new. Its even on PvXwiki.

HB + LoD is probably the best thing in PvE ever.

Yep use the link above, that will lead you to the monk section. Also read the forum faqs first as well. It alwasy a good idea to list attribute points, skills, weapon & armor, runes for the build. Also like mention above there're similar build to your that has already been posted on the web.
Not all of guru members are arrogant Oik. Only select few, don't let them get you down. Although naming your thread Lol is not a great idead though.

I'm in favor of the Protection line. One well placed [[Protective Spirit] saves you loads of energy just trying to keep that spiked person alive.

Agreed, grab a couple of hybrid healers. Two of them can prevent massive amounts of damage via Aegis chaining, catch spikes RoF / PS, remove hexes / conditions, and have a major spike healing via WoH
